Three persons seen in a viral video displaying gunshots have been arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police Command.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested three (3) persons who were seen flaunting Pistols and Pump Action guns on Social Media amidst threats.

Ghanaians suspected the three as the armed robbers behind the death of the late Constable Emmanuel Osei, whose death occurred on Monday at Jamestown in the Greater Accra Region whiles escorting a bullion van.

A little over 24-hours, photos of the faces suspected to the thugs sufficed on social media before the three denied their involvement in a viral video on Thursday, June 18, 2021.

The suspects, Rew Alfred Dakorah, 43years, Emmanuel Dakorah alias Obour 26years and Richard Suleman 28years are all siblings and they were arrested at Gausu a suburb of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.

The fourth suspect is yet to be arrested as the other three have been detained in custody assisting with investigation.

In a press conference held at the Regional Police Headquarters on Friday, June 18, 2021, the Deputy Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP David Adjem made known that one Pump Action gun with five 5 empty cartridges have also been retrieved from the suspects and the same retained.

“The Regional Command wishes to appeal to the general public, especially anyone who has alleged crime against the suspects or might have fallen victim to these persons to kindly report to the Regional Police Command to assist the Police with investigation, so as to have a swift prosecution of the case /cases.
