Painstaking investigation exonorates SRC Prez, executives

Following a painstaking investigation conducted by the DisciplinaryCommittee of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST), it has officially written to make the findings known thereby exonerating the former Students Representative Council(SRC) President of the KNUST, Mr. Michael Abuah from the allegations leveled against him.

The letter further cleared the former Speaker of the same University's SRC Parliamentary Council, Mr. Andrew Anokye Kyeremateng,the Vice-President, Reginald Amo Yeboah and the Financial Secretary,Derek Dadzie over allegations of misappropriation of funds.

The said investigation which was conducted by the Disciplinary Committee and follow-up with a detailed letter. The letter titled “letter of Exoneration" aimed at indicating the innocence of the SRC executives. Until the emergence of the controversial issue,the Former President and his executives were known for the payment of fees of some 6000 students who were on deferral some weeks of the semester in 2022 academic year. However, the investigations conducted by the Disciplinary Committee into the alleged misappropriation of funds meant for the payment of fees for students on the referral list. The team is expressing optimism that the painstaking investigation will bring finality to the allegations.
