Honorable Osei Kojo Hayford who is also a former Member of Parliament for Wenchi Constituency further explained that if government consider such initiative would denied two thirds of senior high school gradudes in the country access to tertiary education.
The retired Director of Education also added his voice to numerous calls on government to review the free senior high school (Free SHS) policy.
Honorable Osei Kojo Hayford wants government to share cost of the free senior high school policy with the parents.
The educationist urged government to make boarding optional for parents who will want their wards to be boarders bear the cost of their feeding.
The educationist is hopeful the move will help sustain the free SHS.
