Bono Regional Minister Urged Girls to Take Chemistry Education Serious.

The Bono regional Minister, Honourable Justina Owusu Banahene, was speaking at the maiden edition of the Chemistry Festival at the University of Energy and Natural Resources campus in Sunyani.

Senior High Schools Girls as well as tertiary education ladies have been urged to take an interest in chemistry programs in their academic studies since it has the potential to guarantee employment after graduation.

The Bono regional Minister, Honourable Justina Owusu Banahene, was speaking at the maiden edition of the Chemistry Festival at the University of Energy and Natural Resources campus in Sunyani.

She noted that it is important for the young ones, especially ladies, to take advantage of the Chemistry festival to build themselves into great assets for the development of the country.

Adding that, the future of the nation lies on the shoulders of Chemistry and its products; hence, the need for the girls to work hard to take advantage of the course to justify the investments made in their education.

Honorable Justina Owusu noted that just being a master Chemist person in their respective areas is not the goal but rather the beginning of a journey that must be taken seriously.

She said Chemistry education would help harmonize the implementation and supervision of quality Chemist delivery in Ghana and also provide a functional chemical development system to improve the productivity and competitiveness of the country’s skilled workforce.
