Miguel Van Damme, a Belgian footballer, died at the age of 28.
In a statement, Real Madrid said it "profoundly laments" Van Damme's passing and "expresses its condolences, care, and devotion to all of his family members and loved ones, his club, and teammates."

Miguel Van Damme, a Belgian player, died of leukemia on Tuesday, leaving behind his wife and small daughter, according to his club Cercle Brugge. He was 28 years old at the time.
"It is with great sadness that we report that our friend and teammate Miguel Van Damme has succumbed to leukemia after a long and arduous struggle," the club stated in a statement.
"Even though we knew things hadn't been going well for a long, words are insufficient to express how we feel. On Instagram, Van Damme's partner paid tribute to him, saying the goalkeeper "fought like a lion" despite his sickness.
