Stop seeking Medical care from Churches, Herbalist And Spiritualist - Mfantseman MP
The Member of Parliament in collaboration with the Saltpond Government Hospital has initiated two weeks of health screening to pave way for the Mfantseman Constituents to access quality health care.
The Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency Hon.Ophilia Mensah Heyford has warned her constituents in the Mfantseman Municipality to stay away from seeking medical care from Churches, Herbalists and Spiritualists.
She has advised that the hospital is the ideal place for seeking medical care.
Speaking in an interview with Central Regional Soireenews Correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful during a Health Screening exercise in the Mfantseman Municipality, the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Municipality Hon. Ophilia Mensah Heyford said Hospitals are there for Human beings so they shouldn't hesitate to visit the hospital if they need health care.
"Not all sickness can be healed by Churches, Herbalists and Spiritualists but one must first seek health care from the hospital before going to seek health care from the churches, Herbalists and Spiritualists," he added.
She further made known that patients can seek medical care from the Churches if the Doctors and Nurses could not be of help to them.
The Honorable Minister made the pronouncement when she organized free health screening for over 10,000 people in the Mfantseman Municipality.
The Member of Parliament then financial all aspects of health care including renewal of National Health Insurance.
In addition, the Administrator for the Saltpond Government Hospital, Mr Agyarkoh Amponsah disclosed that most of the people in the Mfantseman Municipality are unable to seek medical care due to Financial Constraints and lack of Health Facilities.
Some of the beneficiaries also shared their happiness about the Free Health Screening exercise and thanked the Member of Parliament for the exercise.
