According to the Vice President the Mobile App called My NHIS APP will help Ghanaians to get registered with the National Health Insurance Members and also to register others as third-party persons in their comfort.

The Vice President of Ghana Dr Mahamud  Bawumia has launched the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Mobile Application for Ghanaian citizens.

Launching the Mobile App during the schemes program “the Active Month December” under the theme, The Role of Digitalization in Modern Healthcare Delivery: “Recounting Ghana’s ICT Journey in the 4th Republic” which was held at the University of Development Studies Tamale Campus in Tamale in the Northern Region.

According to the Vice President the Mobile App called My NHIS APP will help Ghanaians to get registered with the National Health Insurance Members and also to register others as third-party persons in their comfort.

This Mobile Application will also be of help to politicians, Institutions and Organizations who always help in registering and renewing residents and constituents to the National Health Insurance Scheme.

Dr Okoe Boye, the Chief  Executive of the Office of National Health Insurance thanked the Vice President of Ghana for the introduction of the self-renewal service of the NHIS, which members will monitor to form long queues before they can renew or activate their cards.

He added that the timely intervention of the *929# relp the scheme during the time of The Ovid-19 pandemic.
