Four patients who were brought to Kasoa have been confirmed dead as a result of unstable electricity between Sunday and Monday evening.

A Mother and Child Polyclinic, an 80-bed health facility that serves a lot of residents of about 30,000 populates in the whole Awutu Senya East Municipality has no standby electrical supply such as generators or plants in case of a power outage.

The situation at the hospital has cost the lives of four patients who were admitted.

Soireenews reports gathered indicate that two of the four who died are related; a mother and daughter.

The other deceased person was being transferred to the Winneba Specialized and Trauma Hospital when he passed away.

Reports from some of the staff indicate that "one of the patients who died was on life support which is powered by electricity so, during the power outage struggled to breathe during the light out and passed away.

The residents pleaded and asked for support from their Member of Parliament, Honorable Mavis Hawa Koomson who doubles as the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture.

"The hospital is a very big one and a lot of lives depend on their services so the government and our MP should respond promptly" they pleaded.
