The paramount chief of Sankore Traditional Council in the Asunafo South District of the Ahafo Region, Nana Appiah Kubi Paabo Katakyie IV has declared his community is enjoying total peace in recent times.

Over the years the Ahafo Sankore community has been perceived by many Ghanaians as the most violent communities as much political violence involving NDC and NPP have overly erupted there.

But the Sankoremanhene in an interview with Soiree News declared that there is no more violence in Sankore, his people are living in peace and harmony.

He expressed his gratitude to all religious bodies for their consistent Prayers and support in times of violence.

Nana Appiah Kubi Paabo Katakyie IV also commended the Sankore youth for their co-operation towards the attainment of peace in the area.

The Omanhene eulogized the newly appointed Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr. George Yaw Boakye for the attainment of the position.

He said he has confidence in the minister that he will assist to maintain the peace the people of Sankore are enjoying.

Nana Appiah Kubi Paabo Katakyie IV however appealed to the people of Sankore to exercise restraint and adopt appropriate ways of resolving their differences, and not to result in violence.

He advised political party leaders to prevail on their supporters to give peace a chance while the government also initiates appropriate policies to help resolve conflicts in the District.
