The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram has celebrated nine years of marriage with his wife, Vera George, blessed with two kids.

The trending photos of them together were attached with a captivating message to his beloved, raising the notion of his non-interest in the establishment of the alien community in Ghana.

His message in tweet read; “it’s been 9 years on this lifelong journey we have taken. We’ve had our moments, our laughs, our fights. We’ve had it all. 2 sides of the same coin. Even in grayscale, our love radiates in full color. To my wife who is a woman, Happy anniversary Babes”.

According to some followers of the MP, his statement “To my wife who is a woman” is a jab at the LGBTQI+ community as he happens to be part of the people championing the LGBTQI+ bill which is before parliament.

The bill criminalizes the activities of the LGBTQI+ in the country.

The bill if approved by Parliament will war against a person (s) who through media, technological account, or any other means produces, procures, markets, broadcasts, disseminates, publishes or distributor uses an electronic device, the internet service, a film, or any other device capable of electronic storage or transmission to produce, procure, market, broadcast, disseminate, publish or distribute material or information directed at a child whether directly or indirectly with intent to evoke the interest of the child in an activity prohibited under the Act or teach the child to explore any gender or sex other than the binary category of male or female commits an offence.

Such an individual is liable on summary conviction to a term of imprisonment of not less than six years and not more than ten tears.

Section 14 of the bill is proposing the prohibition of funding or sponsorship for LGBTQ+ activities.
