The people of Tumantu in the Mpohor District of the Western Region, have expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of developmental projects in their community.

Tumantu is a small town found in between Asakae and Bomba, with its people mainly into farming.

The Anona Abusuapanyin, Alex Kofi Nyakeh told the media at Tumantu that, the people are living under deplorable conditions and it is affecting their lifestyle which is a kind of worry to them as a community.

He stated that the people deserved to enjoy modern social amenities such as good road, school, CHPS compound and potable water.

The leader appealed to the Mpohor District Assembly to assist the community in its quest for more development facilities to enhance their standard of living.

"When there is a sick person in the community you would have to call a car to come and convey the sick person to either Bomba or Mpohor, which the drivers charge exorbitant prices all because of the uncompleted CHPS compound and bad road, "the Anona Abusuapanyin lamented.

He also asserted that children walk more than two miles every day on a bush road to school in a nearby town called Bomba.

"The sad aspect of the story is that we don't have a good bridge when it rains and anytime it floods, the children have to stay home because they can't cross."

He appealed to the benevolent group or persons with the Assembly, in particular, to come to their aid with basic social amenities in the community to resolve the challenge they are going through.
