The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Adansi North district, Eric Kwaku Kusi Jnr has debunked and refuted allegations peddled against him by the New Crusading Guide Newspaper in their issue on the 23 of February 2021.

The publication by the newspaper said explicitly that the gatekeeper of the Adansi North district was highly involved in illegal mining even after strong warnings from his employer, President Akufo Addo but Mr Eric Kusi says all mining activities currently happening in his jurisdiction are legal as commissioned by the minerals commission dubbed 'Community Mining'.

Speaking on Shaft FM morning show monitored by SoireeNews 24, Mr Kusi said "I want to state categorically that I'm not involved in any illegal mining, all mining activities in the district are certified by the minerals commission as community mining, it, therefore, beats imagination that someone will peddle such a lie against me."

He further quizzed why not a single picture or video featured in the publication even after claiming their team were on the mining site and further alleged that his opponents in the race for the DCE are doing everything humanly possible to tarnish his image for him not to be retained.

He further alleged that a reporter for the newspaper, Isaac Okyem called him for a bribe but he refused, a reason for all these alterations.
