Residents Of Akpongmang Boi Commends Ga East MCE---For Making Efforts To Improve Their Road Network

Residents in Akpongmang-Boi a fast growing community near Abokobi in the Ga East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region have commended the Municipal Executive Officer (MCE) of the Ga East Municipal Assembly Honorable Elizabeth Kaakie Mann for making strenuous efforts to improve their road network.
The residents wished God protection for the MCE in order to continue her good job to bring the needed development to the Akpongmang-Boi community and its adjoining communities.
According to the residents, they were publicly praising Mrs. Mann because they realized that she is the only hardworking female MCE who keeps her promises of finding alternative solutions to fix the deplorable nature of Akpongmang-Boi road to make it motorable for motorists and mitigate the plights of the affected residents in the area.
"And Honorable Elizabeth Kaakie Mann has done it by making sure that the contractor who abandoned the Akpongmang-Boi road project for many years due to lack of funding was returned to the site to continue the work to fix the drains system," the residents told journalists in an interview on Saturday February 11, 2023 via telephone call.
According to them, the construction work on their road was abandoned by the contractor for many years because of the funding but they were happy that when they informed the current MCE about their road situation in her recent inspection tour on the projects she was able to intervene and ensured that the contractor come back the site to fix the problem.
In her part, the joyful MCE welcomed the decision of the residents to praise for bringing back the contractor to the site.
She pointed out that during inspection tour of the project of the area, the residents of Akpongmang Boi complained bitterly to him about the deplorable state of the road liking to their houses which associated with inability of the drivers to ply that stretch of the road in Ga East Municipality.
She mentioned that when she visited the road about two months she gave assurance of her outfit resolve and determination to intervene in ensuring that the contractor comes to site to reshape the road for the residents.
"So yesterday night that was Friday February 10, 2023, when the contractor came to site of the project many of the residents in Akpongmang-Boi called via telephone and commended for her good work done and said she is the only appointed MCE who cares for their road," the MCE recounted.
Already, according to the MCE, in December 2022, she sent the contractor to do reshaping on that stretch of the road to make the road motorable for motorists.
The MCE mentioned that she realized that the challenges facing the residents in relation to the drains are not fixed hence her intervention to bring the contractor to site.
She pointed out that they residents have messaged her in the night on Friday February 10, 2023, the contractor came to the site to continue the work on the road to fix the drains system on the road.
Because of her efforts to see to the needed social and infrastructure development in the area, she noted the traditional authorities in the municipality installed her as a queen for development in Abokobi enclaves within the Ga East municipality.
She indicated her commitment to improve road networks infrastructure in the Ga East Municipality.
