The Bono East Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Benjamin Amoako aka POPA has as a matter of urgency called on all Ghanaians to support the NPP-led Digitization Agenda led by the vice president Dr.Mahamadu Bawumia in other to promote the development of the country.

Speaking to newsmen at Techiman, Bono East Regional capital after the Digitalization Lecture by the Vice President yesterday, POPA opined that the Vice President touched on every aspect of the Economy which has seen tremendous development due to the innovative ideas introduced by the NPP Government.

He, therefore, pleaded to Ghanaians to embrace and cautioned the opposition NDC not to play politics with it in order to accelerate the development of the country.

He concluded that Ghanaians have seen massive development under Nana Addo--Bawumia led NPP Government for the past 5years hence would break the 8year rule jinx come 2024.

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has taken stock of some digital innovations embarked on by the government since 2017.

Dubbed ‘Bawumia Speaks’, the event held on the campus of the Ashesi University was themed ‘Transforming An Economy Through Digitalisation: The Ghana Story.’

The Ghana Card process according to the Vice President commenced under the Kufuor administration but was abandoned in the eight years that followed.

He says however that the biometric cards serve multiple purposes and have become an integral part of the government’s revenue generation plans.
