Josep Pedrerol of El Chiriniguito has hinted that Real Madrid will sign a superstar in the summer transfer window and it will be either Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland.
The Lo Blancos have failed to impress this season as they are behind Atletico Madrid who have a game in hand by 7 points and level with Barcelona after 21 games.
Madrid have been tracking Kylian Mbappe since his time at AS Monaco before he joined Paris Saint Germain in 2017 as world’s second record signing.
The Frenchman having won every trophy in the Ligue 1 has requested to leave PSG by the end of the summer and Real Madrid have been tipped as one of the favourites clubs to land the World Cup winner despite keen interest from Liverpool.
The 22-year-old has scored a remarkable 106 goals in just 147 appearances for the French champions.
Similarly, Erling Haaland, the Golden Boot winner in his first season scored 44 goals in all competitions during 2019/20, with 28 scored for Salzburg in the first half of the season and then 16 in 18 matches for Dortmund.
The former RB Salzburg attacker has no release clause at the moment. His release clause will be activated only in the summer of 2022, according to The Here We Go podcast and Madrid would have to break the bank to sign the sharp attacker.
A few players are reported to have been spotted by Real Madrid as they transition their squad ahead of challenging for European honours, and it is more likely that Mbappe or Haaland could be wearing the white shirt next season.
