Scores of residents in Tongu Districts of Volta Region are have raised serious concerns over the poor telecommunication network in the area.

The challenge, according to the residents is greatly affecting their agribusinesses, radio and television transmission, healthcare, and education.

"We are currently experiencing poor mobile services. We are saying with authority that from Thursday, February 4, 2021, and till today we find it extremely knotty to receive or make calls. All mobile networks here are unstable”.

Some residents who spoke to Soireenews.com said they do not understand why in this era of the 21st Century, communities should experience such an insecure telecommunication network.

They opined that Mobile money is now the order of the day to transact businesses but the current has complicated all money-related matters in the districts and thus, gradually killing their trades.

Tongu inhabitants however have asked the various telecommunication networks in the districts to come out and fix the problem, also apologise for pouring the horrendous condition on them.

“We are hereby asking the authorities of the networks in our districts to apologise to us as well as fix the problem as soon as possible."
