Newcastle United will be hoping to replicate their performance against Spurs when they visit Anfield to play Liverpool on Saturday’s early kickoff.

The Magpies astounded Tottenham Hotspurs at home courtesy a Joelinton’s 27-minute goal. Liverpool is hoping to make it five out of five to maintain their 100 percent record in the Premier League and extend their club record of 13 league wins in a row to 14. The Reds cruised past Burnley by 3-0 at the Turf Moor, the first time they kept their backline intact from conceding a goal.

Jurgen Klopp’s team have scored 12 goals and conceded three in four matches, a revelation of how the partnership of Salah, Firmino and Mane are once again proving unstoppable.

Steve Bruce is hoping to cause a stir at Anfield although his side in their last five meetings against Liverpool both home and away have always been on the odd side. The last time he visited Anfield was 2014, during the era of Brendan Rodgers when he pulled his blazer over his head on the touchline, which earned him an ovation from the Liverpool fans judging from his relationship as the former captain of Manchester United. Newcastle after their victory at Spurs played a level game with Watford and any results apart from a lose will be welcome for Steve Bruce and his men.

The last time Liverpool dropped points at home was against Leicester in January and Jurgen Klopp's side have not suffered a Premier League defeat at Anfield since April 2017.

Newcastle had failed to win any of their previous 15 away games against the top six, losing 14 before that win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Liverpool have Naby Keita and Alisson Becker sidelined due to injury but with Adrian’s impressive form and Fabinho's dictating play in midfield, the Reds are on course to preserve their unbeaten record at Anfield.

Klopp and his boys will travel to Italy to play Napoli in the UEFA Champions League game on Tuesday before travelling to Stamford Bridge to play Frank Lampard's Chelsea.
