Osu Homowo: Osiahene Nii Nortey Adumuah IV Salutes Ancestors, Calls For Unity

The Osiahene of Osu, Nii Nortey Adumuah IV, has called on the people of Osu to continue promoting peace, unity, and togetherness as they celebrate the 2026 Homowo Festival.

He made the call during the sprinkling of Kpoikpoi in Osu, where families, chiefs, and elders gathered to observe the traditional ceremony.

Speaking to the media, Nii Nortey Adumuah IV extended his greetings to the people of Osu and expressed gratitude to their ancestors for protecting the community and allowing them to gather once again as one family.

According to Osiahene, the period of the Homowo celebration provides an opportunity for families and the people of Osu, together with the chiefs and elders, to come together in peace and unity.

He said the preparation and sharing of traditional food, including Kpoikpoi, form an important part of the celebration and help bring families and the wider community together.

“All the families cook during this to bring peace, it bring happiness to all the people to celebrate this, when it time for this every one should do good things,” he said.

Nii Nortey Adumuah IV also expressed appreciation to the people of Osu and everyone who contributed to the successful observance of the Kpoikpoi sprinkling ceremony.

He further prayed for blessings and protection for the Osu traditional area and its people, asking the ancestors to continue guiding and protecting the community.

He also extended his prayers and goodwill to members of the media and everyone who participated in the celebration.

The Osiahene concluded by thanking everyone for their support and called for continued peace, unity, and togetherness among the people of Osu.
