Gladys 14, a who resides in Abusco a suburb in the Obuasi east district of the Ashanti region has escaped death after she was kidnapped by four men and a lady.

Gladys 12, sells cloth after school for survival. Soireenews Nana Yaw Opoku in an interview with Gladys stressed " I met a lady at the Obuasi central market who had the intention of buying some of the clothes, she told me to accompany her to where she resides to get my balance but before I realized I was in a big room with four big men together with the woman whom I met at the market".

Three of the men were holding machetes while the other one was holding a rope and a metal. I saw the woman who onboard the vehicle with me holding a bucket when I came into normal life, I was asked to shut up or my life will be taken when I came into normal life, she further added.

 
The victim was dropped back at the Obuasi market by a taxi with the gun pointed on the head at the exact place where she was pickup by the lady on the same day.


Gladys notified her colleagues to be extra careful when selling in the market.


Selina Bombie 50, mother of Gladys, said, she only gives thanks to God for her daughter's life. Adding that, women are now prominent in crime hence parents must be vigilant on how to deal with them
