The 1st vice chairman for the New Patriotic Party in the Asutifi North Constituency of the Ahafo Region Nana Osei Peter is calling on members of the party to stay united as the party’s internal elections approach.

The 1st vice chairman for the New Patriotic Party in the Asutifi North Constituency of the Ahafo Region Nana Osei Peter is calling on members of the party to stay united as the party’s internal elections approach.


He also wants them to work towards retaining the party in power beyond the 8 years it will serve by the end of 2024. 


According to him, having the New Patriotic Party (NPP) win the 2024 election will be historic but also a daunting the task that requires a hands on deck. 
 “We must together fight off criticisms and propaganda from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to guarantee our 2024 victory”, he appealed.


“We must as a party conduct ourselves well and avoid bickering and internal wrangling as their internal elections approaches since such could hamper the party’s chances in the next general elections”, He added.


The Asutifi North NPP 1st Vice chairman of the NPP, Nana Osei Peter  said their success will depend on how they will conduct themselves going forward.


 He is however calling for  a strong united party with a focus on highlighting their successes rather than taking down each other. 


The ruling New Patriotic Party is preparing for it’s internal elections. Even though the party’s leadership has warn against the siting of billboards and posters as well as campaigns during this period until official announcement, some supporters of persons hoping to take up various positions have been doing so.


The candidates whose names have been pupping up is the Vice President of the republic Dr. Alhaji Mahammud Bawumia, the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, the Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng among others. 


The controversies and wrangling prior to the official election has been massive hence Nana Osei Peter’s concern.


He however advised the general public to be vigilant and in other not to buy the lies and Propaganda messages by the Opposition NDC.


“The NDC’s desperation for pawer has become too obvious hence sabotaging every good policy by government but don’t allow yourselves to be decieved by their actions”, he cautioned.
