Nkawkaw MP Invests GH¢ 4.2bn In Construction Of A New Health  Centre For People Of Nkawkaw Amanfrom

The Member of Parliament for Nkawkaw Constituency in the Eastern Region, Joseph Akwasi Frimpong has announced to invest an amount of GH¢ 4.2 billion  in the construction of a new health centre for the people of Nkawkaw Amanfrom.

"We also donated medicines worth over Ghc  80,000 to the Municipal Director of Health Services for onward distribution to clinics and hospitals in the Municipality  after the sod cutting," he disclosed.

The MP made the announcement during a groundbreaking ceremony to commence construction works on the project.

The MP however thanked Nananom and the residents of the community for donating the land for the project and charged them to help contractors build the facility with their communal labour.


On her part, Mrs Celestine Asante the Municipal Health Director for Kwahu West Assembly also explained that the purpose of constructing the health centre at Amanfrom was the fact that, the area has become a significant business centre and therefore could be prone to vehicular accidents hence, her outfit’s resolved to provide the facility for the area. She further charged chiefs to earmark some of their lands for future developments.


Nana Omari Boabeng, Odikro of Nkawkaw Amanfrom on the other hand thanked the authorities for the commencement of the facility after a long period of appeals.

He further noted that their current CHIPS Compound is a rented storeroom which is paid for annually and yet is unfit for its purpose.

Nana Omari Boabeng however promised to rally his people to help contractors complete the project on time.
