"We were shocked of these political tactics of Mr Akpaloo whom our NDC party bigwigs empowered by giving him big contracts but now Mr Akpaloo has been dinning with ruling NPP since they won in 2016 with his latest moved to aiding the NPP to win the Assin North by-elections," the Functionaries of the NDC in the Assin North told Soireenews.com

"I have an Intel which indicates that Mr Akpaloo is going to be sponsored by this ruling NPP government to campaign in Volta Region so that some of our people would vote for him to reduce our votes while they appreciate in Ashanti Region.
"Let us watch out for Mr.Akpaloo because he is out on a mission," one of the Functionaries of the NDC in the Assin North revealed.

However, when Soireenews.com reached Mr.Akpaloo for side of the story, he replied simply that; "We are registered political party." And  l will suggest you speak to our General Secretary, Mr Jerry Owusu. Stay tunned for more details
Mr Quayson has been elected Member of Parliament (MP) on the ticket of the NDC in the 2020 general election before the Supreme Court had declared judgement against is eligibility.
Parliament, through its Clerk, declared the Assin North Parliamentary seat vacant on May 30, following the Supreme Court’s ruling on the eligibility of Mr James Gyakye Quayson in occupying the Assin North seat.
.
The Supreme Court, by a unanimous decision on May 17, ordered Ghana’s Parliament to expunge the name of James Gyakye Quayson from its records as the Member of Parliament for the Assin North constituency.
However the NDC rubbished claims that they have replaced James Gyakye Quayson as their parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
For the seek of peace and unity within the NDC in the area, the NDC has re-presented James Gyakye Quayson, who is credible and loved by his constituents, as their candidate.
The NDC slammed the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
for scheming to deny the people of Assin North their rightful representation in Parliament by using the judiciary.
Meanwhile, Mr Quayson vowed to win the seat in the by-election as thanksgiving to the party.
.
He said the confidence reposed in him by the leadership of the NDC to re-represent him to contest the by-election was an indication the party strongly believed in his candidature.
