Gloria Sarfo: Producers rejected me from jobs because they believed I couldn't communicate effectively in English
Because of her well-known performances in local productions, particularly the "Efiewura" series, actress Gloria Sarfo has dispelled a myth that several film producers held regarding her lack of fluency in the English language.

The actress revealed, in an interview with Ladies Circle on Saturday that she was passed over for numerous parts due to her involvement in the critically acclaimed Efiewura series.
She clarified that at the time, the story cost her numerous roles because some producers thought she wasn't suitable for glamorous parts.
"I used to talk a lot before I would become anxious. Everything was about "I am a local actress because of Efiewura," since people assumed I couldn't even explain myself in English because of the Efiewura tag.
I was actually informed that I had the lowest chance of being cast in a glamorous film as the daughter of a wealthy guy due to my involvement in several local programs.
