Don’t Fix Our Roads Now: Ledzokuku NPP Fights Road Engineers and Contractors On Site

Teshie is one of the most populous constituencies in Ghana. The constituency has produced a lot of great personalities in sports, education, health, politics, etc. Unfortunately, it has the most deplorable inner roads making vehicular traffic very difficult for road users. It is against this backdrop that Teshie Concern Youth Coalition petitioned the government through the Municipal Chief Executive and the Member of Parliament for the appalling and extremely deteriorating inner roads network to be fixed. Road Engineers and Contractors were deployed to the constituency to start work on some of the roads.

This morning, constituency leadership of the ruling NPP government led by the secretary Mr Wisdom Donkor assaulted the engineers and workers fixing the roads at the Teshie Tsuibleoo last stop without provocation.

They asked the contractors to halt the work and address residents that the work they are executing was facilitated by the former MP but the contractors declined saying they are not in to do local politics but their mandate is to fix the roads. The engineer was slapped and booted out of the site.

Work on the road is now halted.
