NDC Dirty Plot To Sabotage Awutu Senya West DCE Backfires!
District Chief Executive Awutu Senya District Assembly, Mr Joseph Aidoo
The dirty plot being hatched by some self seeking individuals led by supporters and members of the Awutu Senya West Wing of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Central Region to destroy the hard won reputation of the incumbent District Chief Executive (DCE) the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area,, Mr Joseph Aidoo, has completely backfired.
The records from the offices of Awutu Senya West Assembly corroborated with information from the electoral areas within the district in regard to the performance in the social and infrastructural intervention development projects and programmes clearly exposed the members and supporters of the NDC who are the critics of the DCE.
These available records in the Assembly have attested to the fact that the members and supporters of the NDC in the area are wrongly accusing the DCE for performing poorly.

There are clear envidence that since the DCE was appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in October 2021, he has been instituting plans or strategies to improve road networks, water and sanitation, health, education, security and general welfares of the residents in the district.

The Awutu Senya West Wing of the main opposition National Democratic Congress in the current media publication called on President Akufo-Addo to sack Mr Aidoo from office, accusing him for depriving the various communities of their development.
The Awutu Senya NDC wants President Akufo-Addo to sack the DCE as it claims his inability to fulfill the District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT VI) has denied the people of the Awutu Senya West District of significant resources to enable development in the various communities in the area.
At a press conference held at Awutu Beraku, Thursday, 3 November 2022, Communication Officer for the Awutu Senya NDC, Cassius Otto Larbie, noted: "The release from the office of the head of the Local Government Service dated 11/10/2022 indicates that Hon. Joseph Aidoo; the District Chief Executive (DCE) who was imposed on the people of Awutu Senya West district by the president, through Mr Eugene Arhin; director of communication at the presidency, was unable to fulfill minimum conditions and performance indicators (KPIs) to qualify for more resources to develop Awutu Senya West District, a clear picture of super incompetence and ineptitude."
It further noted: "The statement issued by the office of the head of Local Government service, says, Hon. Joseph Aidoo has become a source of impediment to the growth and development of the district, due to his inability to fulfill the requirement under the district performance assessment tool (DPAT VI) and this has worsened the living standards of the people of the area."
The Awutu West Senya NDC indicated that the DCE "has failed woefully to alleviate poverty, which is one of the cardinal motives of sustainable development goals (SDG 1)."
It emphasized thar per the statement, "the resources provided to the district, for developmental projects, have been misappropriated, which is a clear indication of incompetence, abysmal performance, poor leadership skills and a crisis of credibility.
"In this regard Mr Joseph Aidoo should not be accorded as a good leader and must be held accountable for the lack of development in Awutu Senya West district, and he must be sacked with immediate effect."
It indicated:" The DCE, who was appointed as a representative of the president, and a development agent for Awutu Senya West, is always seen working for an NGO, named “Eugene Arhin Foundation.
But in a quick response, Mr Aidoo rubbished all the allegations leveled against him, saying that those making such wild allegations were completely ignorance and neive to what he has been doing to provide the social and infrastructural development projects and programmes in the district.
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com, Mr Aidoo outlined all the social and infrastructural development projects and programmes his outfit has done for the various communities, adding that there are massive ongoing social and infrastructural intervention developmental projects programmes in the district under his administration.
The DCE pointed out that all the claims made by the members and supporters by quoting the assessment performance tool to support their claims were lies and deception, calling on the general public, particularly, the residents in the district to disregard the assertion of his critics since there are no iota of true in their claims.
He explained that all these researches were conducted before he even assumed office and described the assertion of his critics as mere propaganda to tarnish his reputation but they had failed in their agenda, saying that there are massive development ongoings in the district under his administration to improve the lives of constituents.

On the issue for him being always seen working for an NGO, named “Eugene Arhin Foundation, Mr Aidoo noted that his critics got it wrong.

According to him, he has appointed to spearhead the development of the area and that he has been supporting all the NGOs from Danish and philanthropists who are working in his jurisdiction to bring the needed social and infrastructural development to the district.

"Having being an appointed DCE of Awutu Senya District Assembly l would be the last person to work against any NGO including the Eugene Arhin Foundation which is very instrumental of bringing move needed developmental projects and programmes to the district by the way of building mordern education, health and recreational facilities in the various communities within his district," the DCE explained.

The DCE denied allegations leveled against him that he was imposed on the people of Awutu Senya West district by the president, through Mr. Eugene Arhin; director of communication at the presidency.
According to Mr. Aidoo, his appointment has been done through the effective consultations by the chiefs, queen-mothers, elders, youths and stakeholders of the Awutu Senya West District.

He pointed out that he has been working closely with the chiefs, queen-mothers and other traditional office holders in the district to ensure that all the communities within the district are developed before he leaves office.

"I respect everybody in my district irrespective of their political affiliations. I have been operating an open door policy and that l am working closely with all and sundry to alleviate poverty in the district," Mr Aidoo reaffirmed.
