Mr Coker stressed that 'Let us think of the salvation of our families. The calibre of people you elect tomorrow will determine the success of the NDC going into the 2024 general elections. You can have a beautiful car but if the driver is bad, the car will crash."If you elect people who are not competent, mature, tried and tested, the results will be GIGO - Garbage In, Garbage Out."

It Is Dangerous To  Elect People Who Are Not Competent, Mature, Tried And Tested To Lead – Ade Coker Tells NDC Delegates

A Chairman hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region, Mr Joseph Kobina Ade-Coker, has challenged delegates of the party to vote prospective regional executives based on their track records, achievements, maturity, competence, contrary to this, he asserted that anybody who will sell his vote or be induced with monetary will crush the spirit of the party.

Addressing the NDC delegates during his campaign tour, Mr Coker stressed that 'Let us think of the salvation of our families.

The Chairman Ade Coker further emphasized the need for the delegates not to be influenced by money or goodies for the other aspirants to vote in their favour in the upcoming NDC internal regional executives election.

Sounding very religious, Mr Coker warned that anyone who will receive money as bribe before voting a candidate in the upcoming NDC internal regional executives election should know that he/she is a danger to the NDC.

He pointed out that "the voting right is only part of the mandate, adding that "You were not chosen as delegates, polling station and constituency executives only because of voting but you’re given a mandate of four years to facilitate the organization of the party at your communities; electoral area coordinators are supposed to be a link between polling stations and constituency executives and constituency executives are responsible to supervise party work at the constituency level and regional executives must also supervise the work of the party with integrity at the regional level."

According to the outspoken incumbent chairman of the region who seeking for reelection this will propel the spirit of the party, excite everybody in the party to go to work and make it more attractive to voters.

“So when there is an opportunity for you to go and vote but then you take money before you go to vote, in fact, your leadership is a crushed leadership. Anyone who would take money before voting should bear in mind that you are a danger to this party,” Mr Coker warned.

In this sense, he urged delegates of the NDC ito cast their votes for him in the forthcoming internal regional executives elections, adding that he has all the political locus that will push him to make sure the NDC wins political power in the 2024 general elections to prevent the NPP to break the eight years jinx.

He told the delegates he is courageous, bold and articulate and can resist any aggressive of the NPP, saying that “They should vote for me, I have come to you with a message and with a plan,” he said.

“I have demonstrated that I have the courage to fight the NPP, they should also watch the posture of the NPP, they have been telling us that they are going to break the eight years jinx.

"...If that is the case, the [NDC] needs a very courageous, bold and articulate person to be able to lead them into that ‘battle in the Greater Accra Region which always determined the winning votes of the NDC’,” Mr Coker stressed.
