He expressed dismay that wealthy men frequently pour money on female actors, giving the impression that their male rivals are not working hard enough, despite the fact that they may be equally skilled and dedicated to their job.

Kanayo featured as a guest on a recent episode of the podcast "The Honest Bunch," co-hosted by Husband Material and Deity Cole.

"Many Nigerian rich men patronise our women and give them benefits that make us look like we are not working hard," he vented.

My family is disappointed that there has been no justice for my brother, Perpetual Didier

The year 2023 began with a tragedy for gospel artist Perpetual Didier and her family, as her brother died unexpectedly on January 30 in West Hills Mall. Despite initial contradicting accounts about the circumstances of his death, Perpetual, who had petitioned the Inspector General of Police at the time, told Graphic Showbiz that her family has yet to receive justice for their loss. She expressed her dissatisfaction with the defective process, explaining how she had attended legislative hearings where her family's evidence contradicted the police report, but lacked the finances to continue fighting for justice.

"I campaigned for justice for my brother, but the government did not provide adequate help. I was summoned to Parliament House and met with the Parliamentary Committee.

The police presented their evidence, but it was imprecise and unconvincing because my family's evidence contradicted the police report. "But as I speak now, we lack the resources to continue the fight for justice because all I want is justice for my brother's death," she told me.

As a Christian, Perpetual found comfort and support in the scriptures. Immersing oneself in God's word and spending long amounts of time in His presence prompted a new song, "Yesu Nkoa," which sends a message of hope to her followers.

"I composed the song to help others, but it's also about my own issues with my brother's passing and how I coped. "I depended on prayer and support from my Christian community to overcome the trauma and I know it will bless others who are going through an emotional meltdown," she told me.
