Ghanaian politician and staunch member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Owen Kwame Frimpong, has called for a united front to wrestle the Lower West Akim Constituency parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the general elections 2024.
 
According to the Lower West Akim Parliamentary Candidate (PC) elect for the NDC, the political character assassination, sabotaging, and backbiting is not in the interest of the NDC.
The young astute politician, therefore, urged the few disgruntled members and supporters of the party including the losing parliamentary aspirants to bury their differences and join forces with him to work hard to snatch the constituency parliamentary seat from the NPP Member of Parliament (MP) who has failed to lobby for the needed developmental projects and programme to be brought to the area.
Mr Frimpong made the foregoing call in an interview with Soireenews.com to give his victory statement after he has been elected as the parliamentary candidate for Lower West Akim Constituency in the Eastern Region to lead the party for the 2024 general elections.
Consequently, Mr  Frimpong assured the leadership of the NDC to lead and conduct a clean electioneering campaign to ensure the starching of the Lower West Akim parliamentary seat from the NPP in the 2024 general elections to bring the needed development to the area which is currently lacking social amenties under the political leadership of the NPP MP.
After a fierce battle between Mr Frimpong and two competitors who are Mr Micheal Adu-Sei and Majid Nuhu Mumuni on Friday August 25, 2023, the young famous entrepreneur garnered 1,013 votes out of  1,170 of the total votes in the box.
Whilst Mr Adu-Sei got 113 votes following Majid Nuhu Mumuni who obtained 38 votes.
A 48-year-old Ghanaian business tycoon, who ha earlier told journalists in the public that he trusted his delegates to vote for him, has got his fans rejoicing after his wins the NDC parliamentary primary election.
He had earlier stated that he was confident about winning the elections and believed that the delegates would not disappoint him but rather give him chance to lead the NDC to wrestle the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NDC) in the 2024 general election.
in his victory speech, the visibly joyful Frimpong expressed gratitude to the delegates and members of the NDC in the area for the confidence reposed in him on Friday August 25, 2023, and stated that the victory is not only for him but also for NDC as as the Lower West Akim as a whole.
He stated that this internal battle is over and that he believes that all the supporters of the losing competitors and losers to bury their difference and come together join him to campaign vigorously to win the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.
"No this internal election is over l am saying that after election no campaign. In this this regard l want stresed that it is high time for us to come together to fight the main course which is our arms to snatch the parliamentary seat from the NPP in the 2024 showdown," he added.
Mr Frimpong who promised to fix the date to embark on Thank You Tour," noted that; "The delegates and members of the NDC in the Lower Akim including the people from other political spectrum have spoken. 
They have said without equivocation that they want me to represent them in the coming 8th Parliament. They have told us to stop the politics and focus on solving their problems. This is a victory, not just for me and the NDC but also for justice.” 
Mr Frimpong said: “I am deeply humbled by the confidence the people have expressed in what I stand for and what I have done. I am also fully aware of the reciprocal responsibilities that this massive show of confidence imposes on me. My solemn pledge is to work as hard as I can for the people who have made tonight possible.” 
The PC elect said he sought this position because of his deep commitment to the Lower West Akim Development agenda.  
He noted that he remained determined to mobilize resources from within and without to prosecute the agenda with all my energy no matter the cost.  
“I also want to express my profound gratitude to the many people who are responsible for the resounding victory we have chalked on Friday August 25,2023  and who share in the honour that have been bestowed on me.” 
The Darling Boy thanked his family who had stood by him in the best of times and the worst of times.  
He expressed gratitude to the NDC family; the National Executive, the Council of Elders, the Eastern Regional Executives of the party and Lower West Akim Constituency Executives, as well branch executives, polling agents and all other members and officers of the party who had stood with him through thick and thin.  
“I am grateful to my campaign team who have worked assiduously with limited resources.l am also grateful to the Electoral Commission and national security agencies, particularly the police and fire service for their support to ensure successful, fair and credible election a Mr Frimpong stated. 
“I am grateful to all others who have reached out to me to express support, empathy, encouragement.” 
“Let us come together to build a better Lower West Akim for our posterity,” Mr Frimpong said. 
The young businessman who is owner of Bridavis Shipping Company Limited, 
Bridavis Cleaning Services and Bridavis Car Rental Company noted that having toured various communities to carry some humanitarian supporting activities and services to youths and less underprivileged group of people, he realized that the constituency needed a person at the grassroots who understood the terrain of politics within the area to represent them in the Parliament
 
Mr Frimpong who is very passionate about the education development of the youths in the area believes it was time for a youthful candidate who was ready to work to change the fortunes of the constituency to be elected the MP in the area  to champion his vision on education, health, youth and women empowerment.
 
He acknowledged the lack of development in the constituency under the leadership of the NPP for the past 20 years which has been compounded by youth unemployment and high poverty.
 
Through his business experiences, Mr.Kwame Frimpong expressed the hope that when elected the MP in the 2024 he would partner a number of international organisations to help transform the area for the benefit of the people as well as put the youth into apprenticeship and offer them start-up capital to enable them to set up their businesses.
 
He mentioned that he would come up with innovative ideas and interventions that would have direct impact on the lives of the constituents.
 
He said he was in the race as a strong force who could unify the divided front of the party to win the parliamentary seat and consolidate the victory in future elections.
 
He stated that he was well connected in all the sectors of the economy saying he would contesting the election with the primary objective of helping to address the myriad of challenges confronting the constituency if elected MP for the constituency.
 
His message is to tackle the poor state of roads in the area by lobbying for immediate government intervention to enable motorists and particularly farmers to cart their goods to market centres.
 
The young business mogul bemoaned the lack development and high rate of youth unemployment in Lower West Akim and pledged to roll out human centered policies to address these press problems when he win the parliamentary election in the 2024 general elections.
