December 7 declared Holiday
December 4, farmers day will no longer be observed as a holiday
President Akufo-Addo has declared Monday, 7th December 2020 as a public holiday.
The move is to “facilitate the conduct of the election in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, help ensure strict observance of COVID-19 safety protocols on election day, and enable registered voters to exercise their franchise in safety and with minimal inconvenience.”
This was contained in a statement from the Presidency today, December 2.
The decision was taken following the submission of a proposal to the President by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Jean Mensa.
This proposal was supported by the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC).

The statement also said Farmers Day which is expected to be observed on Friday, 4th December 2020, will no longer be a public holiday.
