Last DCE Nominee in North East Region Approved
The newly confirmed District Chief Executive, Hajia Zuwera Mada Nashiru, promised to open the doors of her office for ideas.

Hajia Zuwera Nashiru, District Chief Executive Nominee for Chereponi of the North East Region has been approved by Members of the Assembly.
Chereponi District Assembly is the last among the six Districts in the Region to hold elections for the confirmation of the president's nominees.
Out of the total 31 valid votes cast, She gathered 23 YES votes (74%), as against 8 No votes (26%).
She was sworn into office right after the elections process by the North East Regional Minister, Alhaji Yidana Zakaria.
Hon Yidana grabbed that glorious opportunity to extend his warmest felicitations to the new DCE on her confirmation.
He urged the DCE not to leave any Assembly Member behind, in her quest to develop the place regardless of their creed, race or political preferences.
He also admonished the people of the area, especially the youth, to give peace a chance and not take the law into their own hands to foment trouble.
Hon Yidana cautioned potential trouble causers that the heavy hand of the law will descend on any lawbreaker.
