2-year-Old Girl Assisted By NGO to Undergo Hole In Heart Surgery

Club 5050 has donated an amount of 10,000 Ghana cedis to support a patient with a hole in heart to undergo surgery.

The money is a part payment of the remaining 18,000 cedis for 2-year old, Petra Bengpomaa Adusei, a girl born with a hole in her heart to be operated to save her life.

A hole in heart is a defect that occurs in the wall (septum) that separates the heart's lower chambers (ventricles) and allows blood to pass from the left to the right side of the heart.

In an engagement with Mr Adusei, father of the two-year-old Petra, he revealed that a lot of effort has been made to conduct a surgery but to no avail due to lack of funds.

He said if not with support from some doctors the family would have lost the kid long ago.

He continued that, all efforts made to raise 36,000 Ghana cedis to conduct a surgery for Petral prove futile but the family manage to raise c1,800 cedis remaining another 1,800 which have been very difficult to come with.

The club has supported Adusei's family with 10,000 cedis as part payment of the remaining 18,000 cedis for Petral to undergo a successful surgery.

Soireenews in an engagement with Jacob Edmund Aquah president, of 5050 clubs is appealing to the general public to assist the family with the 8,000 cedis left to help save the 2-year old Petra's life.

He applauded the club members for their support and assistance by donating some part of their salary to transform and save lives.
