Karaga Member of Parliament to Build New Police Post at Yemo in the Karaga District
Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, Member of Parliament and chiefs of Karaga

The recent armed robbery cases on the Tamale-Karaga roads have claimed precious lives and led to financial losses to the people of Karaga and its surrounding communities. The recent happenings on the route have put fear and panic in the people and have therefore have called for the need for Ghana Police Service to up their game in the area.

Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam who is a Member of Parliament for the Karaga constituency, met the chiefs and people at Yemo where the District chief executive officer driver was shot to death according to him, the Police are investigating these cases whilst pursuing the criminals.

As part of the efforts to prevent robbery and protect the people's lives and livelihood, on June 1, 2021, he handed over a site at Yemo Karaga to a Contractor to build a Police Post there.

He added that he is also working with the District Assembly and private sector partners to build another police Post in Tamalgu and also a Police Station in Pishigu.

These efforts will be meaningless without the cooperation of the people in the communities along the road.

Many thanks to the Chief of Yemo Karaga for providing land for the project.
