IGP Must Wake Now To Order For The Arrest Of Tettegu Terror Squad—For Shooting Into Chief's Private Houses
THOUSANDS of residents and citizens in Tettegu fishing community under the Ngleshie Alata Traditional Council in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality of the Greater Accra Region are currently living in fear.

This situation follows the shocking revelations made by violent young troublemakers on how they associated themselves with the hardened criminal activities in Tettegu which have created insecurities in the area.
These gangsters whose names were withheld for now, are known citizens and residents of old and new Tettegu in the Ga State who use firearms to cause confusion in Tettegu and after, quickly go and hide the weapons in Bortianor.
The Tettegu community, this media outlet discovered, is seriously being plagued by all manner of criminal activities, including armed robberies, gambling, cyber fraud, alcoholism, stabbing, killing and shooting of innocent people.
Although it is an offence under the Arms and Ammunition Act 1962 Section 118 (6) to posse firearms without licence, they revealed  that many firearms are in the wrong hands of these violet youths in Tettegu who are working in the league with some unaccredited traditionalists to attack some innocent people including the chief of the area.
The situation escalated when the group fired gunshots into the private residences of the Tettegu Divisional Chief, Nii Kofi Kumah I at Tettegu and Weija Junction in Accra, the situation which has informed the decision of residents to call on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to come to their aid.
The gangsters disclosed how they have fired the gunshots into the roof of the private houses of the chief.
"We have also fired gun shots into the roof of the private residence of Nii Kofi Kumah I located at Weija Junction in Accra, ostensibly to scare him to come out in order for us to finish his life," they noted.
These hooligans, who said they are working for some traditional office holders at Tettegu stressed that they have long time targeted to end the life of Nii Kofi Kumah I.
"It has come to sometimes when we realized that we are guilty to all the evil things that we have done against Nii Kofi Kumah I, because he persistently refused to support our criminal activities in the area.
"So we have decided to smoke peace pipe with him [Nii Kofi Kumah I], but the the people hired us names withheld have deceived us that whenever we committed ourselves to beg for forgiveness of our sins, the Tettegu Chief (Mantse), Nii Kofi Kumah I would use it as a strong case to take back all the various lands we have sold to unsuspecting land developers which situation would rather land us into big trouble.
"We knew that Nii Kofi Kumah has won a chieftaincy case which has justified that he is the traditionally, customarily and legally installed chief of Tettegu in 1999 but aside these developments, the other traditional office holders who hired us to foment trouble at Tettegu have also deceived us to contribute money to hire the services of one prominent  traditional officer from Weija to come and install a new chief to ascend the throne of Tettegu although Nii Kofi Kumah I is still alive and kicking.
"These are extend for where these traditional office holders have deceived us to by way to lure us to contribute such undisclosed money to pay Weija Asafoatse to come and install chief for them and now we all have noticed that we have committed very serious offences," they confessed.
They noted that some of their colleagues violent persons at Tettegu went to a funeral at Gomoa-Akoti in the Central Region to make a very life-threatening statement that if the government didn't allow them to install new chief to replace Nii Kofi Kumah I, there would be a war at Tettegu.
They also threatened in the same funeral ground at Gomoa-Akoti if the court does not allow them to win the ongoing murder case of business man against them, the residents in Tettegu would be damaged roughly.
They pointed out that these are the third revelations they have made in public but they were surprised that the state security regulatory authorities of Weija-Gbawe municipality have not commissioned investigations into how we were contacted by some traditional office holders at Tettegu to kill, shoot and stab people in Tettegu.
"We are stressing that it is a high time for the state regulatory institutions and the national security to wake up to intervene in the matter by the way of consulting or inviting Nii Kofi Kumah I to verify from him about the threat on his life by these gangsters in Tettegu,"they stressed.
The cross-sections of these violent young trouble makers at Tettegu made these shocking revelations, when they met with some prominent elders in secret meeting currently.
This follows their claim that they had repented and also disassociated themselves from these gangsters who had been fighting, shooting and killing innocent people in Tettegu and its adjoining community.
They revealed that they were among the notorious groups who were hired by some self-seeking traditional rulers in Tettegu to be visiting severe attacks on the people including the chief in the area.
According to them, they have realized that it is the time to disassociate themselves from the gangsters and that also made public of all the deep and hidden crimes they have done or planning to do to some people in the area.
According to them, at the time that they had announced their disassociation from the group, their leaders and colleagues have issued several death threats on them and went ahead to issue threat to poison them if they disclosed their criminal acts to the chief and other stakeholders in Tettegu.
Ignoring their threats on their lives, they noted that they have muttered courage to come out with their criminal acts they have done to some people in the area.
"We have decided to make our criminal acts public, ostensibly to inform and alert the state security regulatory agencies to investigate these heartbreaking matters to help flush out perpetrators in the area.
They revealed how one of the citizens of the area was gruesomely killed and dumped into
a fishing trap net called "Atidzaa" in the Ewe dialect in the River Okudzaa near Tettegu.
This fishing trap net [Atidzaa] belongs to one Livingston Atukpa, the head of the Atukpa family at Tettegu.
They stated that Mr Livingston Atukpa has led the police officer with Tettegu Police Station called Richard to retrieve the death body from the trap fishing net to bury without police investigations into the murder of the fisherman.
"Where have you heard that a fisherman would kill himself in a fishing trap (Atidzaa) he has personally set to catch fish?" the repented thugs rhetorically asked and called on the Inspector General of Police to ensure that this murder case is being properly investigated.
The gangsters also highlighted how some of them moved to attack the Assembly member of Tettegu Electoral Area, Honourable Bright Adabla, in his house because the Assembly man has signed a letter of land title document with Nii Kofi Kumah which paved way for the developer to build communication centre in Tettegu.
Currently, according to the gangsters, some of their colleagues in the names of Micheal and Samuel Dakudzi were arrested and prosecuted for stabbing and killing a businessman, Mr Emmanuel Kofi Korbly, popularly known as Clean Heart in Tettegu.
The death body of Mr Emmanuel Kofi Korbly, was sent to his hometown in Battor traditional area in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region to be buried a couple weeks ago.
They expressed disappointment that all these reported cases of killings, assaults, stabbing, shootings in Ga Tettegu were officially reported to the state security authorities in Weija Gbawe municipality but the state security agencies have not done anything about these matters.
And that they said that many perpetrators who had committed these heinous crimes are still walking the streets of Tettegu as free men.
They indicated that they had been frustrated to expose any wrong and criminal activities ongoings in Tettegu but we are ready to spill the beans on these current criminal acts of these gangsters.
They accused some senior police officers with the Criminal Investigative Department of SCC Police station which was located in Ga South municipality in Accra for being in league with them [gangsters] to commit heinous criminal activities, resulting to the killings, stabbing and shootings of many innocent people in Tettegu.
They disclosed that one of the traditional office holders who was very closed to them currently went to the police officers at the SCC Police station and asked why is it that the police have detailed two murder suspects, Michael and Samuel Dakudzi who allegedly killed Mr Emmanuel Kofi Korbly in one cell room.
The thugs pointed out that immediately they (notorious group) went to the station, the police officers have revealed these deep secrets to them.
They indicated that the police officers themselves had advised them to be careful
or feared the said man, saying that the situation which has informed their decision to chase the man to his private house in Tettegu.
Unfortunately, they said when chased him to his house, they have not met him, making them to take the decision to remove his electricity power metre and took it away, ostensibly for him to sleep in darkness.
"We are saying that it is the the police officers in SCC District Police Command and Tettegu Police Station who are encouraging us to do bad things at Tettegu...this is because all the hidden matters which are told by traditional officers and stakesholders from Tettegu to the police officers in connection on how to fight against the activities of the trouble makers in Tettegu, the police officers would always revealed all these issues to us anytime we went to their station," the gangsters disclosed.
According to them, their opinion leaders and accredited traditional office holders have officially lodged several complaints about the countless death threats meted out to Nii Kofi Kumah I including gun shooting and killings of innocent persons at Tettegu to national security personnel including the Ghana Police Service (GPS) and state political appointees in Weija-Gbawe municipality, to help avert any deadly conflict in the area.
Currently, according to information available to this news outlet, these gangsters have threatened to deal with some people because they have been revealing vital information about them.
The delay tactics of these national security personnel in the municipality has informed their current decision to make emergency Save Our Souls (SOS) call on President Akufo-Addo to safe our lives because "we didn't want some people to be killed again in Tettegu before the government may rush to deploy security personnel to maintain order and security in Tettegu."
The gangsters added that they also mustered courage to make the public the names of the various perpetrators who had been commiting these heinous crimes in Tettegu but it is clearly showed that the state security regulatory institutions in the municipality had been keeping the deaf ear on these matters and waited for the people to be killed before they would react.
"We want the police officers and government appointees in charge of the security issues in the municipality to be more proactive rather than reactive. But it seems like our security leaders in the municipality are generally not security conscious. They tend to be reactive rather than proactive to security issues in Tettegu," they noted.
"We are using this opportunity to inform the central government that Tettegu is our home that our ancestors have left for us and that we want the peaceful coexistence in the area," they stressed.
They lamented that pieces of evidence clearly established that there is no absolute peace, harmony, unity and tranquillity in Tettegu in recent memory, saying that it is a high time the central government to help to bring peace to Tettegu.
What was very painful, according to them is that" we the people in the area are not giving respect to the chieftaincy authority of our Chief, Nii Kofi Kumah I.
This notwithstanding, they mentioned that the ring leader of these gangsters has gone to the private house of Nii Kofi Kumah in Tettegu to break bottles, thereby spreading the broken bottles on the door of the house of Nii Kofi Kumah, with a plan that if the chief comes out from his room, he would step on the broken bottles to wound him."
However, this news outlet observed that these thugs in Tettegu are wrongly holding the sophisticated weapons [firearms] at the time that the government through the Ministry of Defence has given warning to all persons in possession of illegal weapons in the country to handover to the police.
Following, this development, they stressed the need for government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to immediately impress upon the Inspector General of Police and Security Minister to intervene and retrieve all the illegal guns/firearms and dozens of cutlasses in the possession of some notorious thugs in Tettegu and its environs.
They further called on arrest of these abovementioned persons to face the law of this country.
