Islamic Society For Education Development Donates Relief Items Through Upper Manya  Krobo MP To Islamic Flood Victims At Akateng
THE LOBBYIST approach by the Honourable Member of Parliament (MP) for the Upper Manya Krobo constituency in the Eastern Region, Honourable Hon Bismark Tetteh Nyarko  has continued to yield fruitful results.

Knowing very well the inept type of governance and the lackadaisical approach by the NPP government in the solution to problems, Honourable Nyarko seeks assistance from well meaning friends and organizations for the development of the Upper Manya Krobo constituency.

Since the floods upstream that devastated the Akateng market, government hasn't paid any attention to the plight of the people.

Through the untiring efforts of the MP, the management of Citi FM donated large quantities of relief items to the people along the banks of the Volta in the Constituency.

At a short ceremony held at Akateng today , the ISLAMIC SOCIETY FOR EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT, an organization in Kuwait presented relief items worth thousands of cedis to the MP to the Islamic community at Akateng.

According to the leader of the team, SHEIK ABASS SALEH who is the Deputy Director of the organization in Ghana, he has been following with keen interest the desire of the MP to bring development to the doorsteps of his constituents.

"The organization is going to make Upper Manya Krobo a priority area in its development plan because of the efforts of the MP in his first term as a Member of PARLIAMENT," Sheikh said.

He said his organization operates in deprived areas with the provision of educational infrastructure and scholarships, water and sanitation and skills development.
In his remarks, Hon Bismark Tetteh Nyarko thanked the donors for their kind gesture. He said the gates into the Constituency are open to the organization so far as it's for the benefit of the people.

The donated items include 20 mattresses, 200 pieces of plastic buckets, 200 bags of 5kg of rice, quantities of tinned fish, tinned tomatoes, cooking oil, etc.

110 pieces of the Quran were also donated.
Other personalities who attended the short ceremony include the Constituency chairman of the NDC, Alhaji Moro Yakubu Hankuri and his Executive Members, the Zongo Caucus coordinator, Ibrahim Mohammed, Alhaji Osmanu and other Chiefs.
