Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, will be without Gabriel Martinelli for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash with FC Porto.

Martinelli suffered a foot injury last Monday during their 6-0 win over Sheffield United in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old missed the 2-1 win over Brentford on Saturday and was seen on with a protective boot and walking on crutches after the game as he headed through the mixed zone.

Martinelli is expected to sit out the game against Porto on Tuesday night, March 12, 2024.

“Percentage you want [of him to play]? There are options. Sorry to disappoint you,” Arteta told reporters.

The Gunners are aiming to overturn a one-goal deficit having lost the away clash two weeks ago.

Arsenal will be able to welcome back Gabriel Jesus, Thomas Partey and Oleksandr Zinchenko after the trio were all absent for the 1-0 defeat in the first leg at Estadio do Dragao. All three were involved in Monday’s training session.
