The Police at Acherensua have commenced investigations into the matter.

A 38-year old Vegetable Farmer who lives at Acherensua in the Asutifi South District of  Ahafo Region, Mr Kofi Amankwah, has been shot on a Motorbike on his way from Manfo to Acherensua by unknown person.

The sad incident occurred on Friday evening around 8 pm between Asuhyiae and Acherensua Township when the Victim (Mr Amankwah) sent Medicine to a friend at Manfo to be delivered to his Sick Mother in the Northern Region and was returning home.

Mr Amankwah who sustain bullet injuries was rushed to Acherensua Health Center for treatment but was referred to Tepa Government Hospital and later transferred to Sunyani Regional Hospital due to his critical condition.

The victim who was with a bullet wound at his back and his body in pain at Acherensua Health Center told soireenews that he doesn't know what led to the shooting and did not see anybody after the incident when he parked his Motorbike and called his wife for help.

Reverend Kwame Boakye Ansah, Pastor of New Apostolic Church at Acherensua who picked the Victim with his car to Acherensua Health Center also explain that he was on his way back to home when heard someone yelling for help.

Meanwhile, the Acherensua Police have commenced investigation into the issue.
