A group calling itself the Unified Group, comprising the youth in National Democratic Congress, NDC is describing the alleged involvement of the vice president in the vote-buying activities as shameful and unbefitting for his office.

According to the group, the current development, have raised concerns regarding the involvement of Dr. Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, in vote buying activities.

The group added that "Reports suggest that significant amounts of money, including $5,000 and $100,000, were used in an attempt to secure endorsements for his candidacy as part of the NPP Flag bearer".

Additionally, there have been allegations of bullying opponents and chasing their agents from voting locations. As the current Vice President of Ghana, it is disconcerting to witness such behaviour from a high-ranking official.

The act of vote buying, coupled with alleged bullying tactics, raises serious questions about Dr. Bawumia's integrity and suitability for leadership",excerpts of a press release by the group stated.

Describing the performance of the Vice President in the management of the economy, the group said his performance is "poor and abysmal" and therefore will not proper to hand over the collective destiny of the country into his despite promising to bring about significant changes, the group said, there has not been any positive impact on the lives of the  is worth Ghanaians noting that under his leadership as the head of the economic management team, Ghana has accumulated nearly $600 billion in debt without a significant positive impact on the lives of its citizens", the group revealed.

"As Dr. Bawumia considers a bid for the Presidential election, it is crucial for the electorate to critically evaluate his actions, promises, and track record, Transparency, accountability, and the well-being of Ghanaians should be at the forefront of our decision-making process", it added.

The group stressed the need for citizens of Ghana to be accorded the needed respect by offering a leader who upholds the highest standards of integrity, fosters a fair and inclusive political environment, and prioritizes the genuine betterment of the nation.
