Nigeria's Loss In AFCON To Cote D'Ivoire Should Be A Lesson To The NDC--Lawyer Isaac Minta Larbi
CHAIRMAN of the Eastern Regional Legal Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Isaac Minta Larbi, has stated that a defeat suffered by the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a final match between Cote D'voire in the CAF Africa Cup of Nations ( AFCON) should be a great lesson to the members and supporters of the NDC as the party is preparing for 2024 showdown.

According to him, from the blast of the whistle to begin proceedings the Super Eagles of Nigeria seemed to be in control of the final match of the AFCON.
In fact for the entire 45 minutes Nigeria was in complete control of the match with Cote D'Ivoire struggling to match the Nigerians.
Unfortunately and by a sudden turn of events Cote D'Ivoire came back in the second half with a changed strategy and a little more determination.
Nigeria seemed to be glued to their performance of the first half and somehow thought they were still in control.
Before they realized the more determined team of Cote D'Ivoire had equalized.
The match then became open and meant to be won by any of the two teams.
Unfortunately for Nigeria they had lost steam. Momentum had gone to be with Cote D'Ivoire who now were invigorated by the goal to keep pressing the Nigerians.
Just as the first half was for the Nigerians the second half was for Cote D'Ivoire.
As the game progressed you could tell clearly the Nigerians could not penetrate the defense of Cote D'Ivoire anymore but Cote D'Ivoire on the other hand was breaking into the Nigerian defense.
Loh and behold, and before the Nigerians would realize Cote D'Ivoire had taken the lead and at that stage a team with no momentum could not come back.
It was a little too late for Nigeria. A game they could have won they lost through their own doing.
Always remember that anything within reach is not yet in your grasps and until you have it in your hands don't engage in any form of complacency.
A word to the wise is enough.
According to him, "This is my dear message to the NDC leading up to the 7th December elections.
"I see a lot of people who have lost steam and a lot of people who think it'll certainly be ours so they have chosen to relax.
"Please motivate yourself and until it is over it is not over.
In this elections a lot of things are going to happen and what will make the difference is the one who wants it the more. The one who wants it the more is the one who will win it.
Cote D'Ivoire wanted it the more and they got it," he concluded
