SCORES of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Executives in Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency of the Western North Region, have given an ultimatum to the executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to render apology to the Municipal Chief Executive for the area, Mr Paul Andoh for wrongly accusing him of diverting of goods meant for the Assembly to be distributed to some specific residents/ farmers in the various villages and towns within the municipality for his personal use.

Addressing a crowded press conference in Bibiani, the NPP executives debunked allegations leveled against Mr Andoh as false, malicious, baseless and unfounded.
They vowed to go to every length to protect the image of their leader for the whole world to know that he was clean of all corrupt practices.
They urged the general public, particularly the residents of the area to disregard the so-called group calling itself Concerned Citizens of Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai's spurious claim that he [Mr Paul Andoh] diverted public items to his private residence at Sefwi Bekwai.
The executives stressed that they have lived with the MCE since infancy, and the allegations against him are calculated attempts from the opposition party and certain elements in the NPP to taint his image and also rubbished numerous achievements of the NPP government in the municipality.
This decision was taken against the backdrop that neither the Regional Coordinating Council nor the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly has lodged an official complaint of missing items.
They also seized the opportunity to admonish the youth to desist from tarnishing the image of political leaders and also refrain from politics of insults, attacks, and vilifications because they are a recipe for mayhem.
Not long ago, the MCE for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai was accused of diverting sports kits and agrochemicals to his private residence. As such several audio and unsavory comments were made about the MCE.
Fortunately, the Municipal Assembly dropped a release that all items earmarked for the municipality are intact.
