FINANCE MINISTER MAKES A "U-TURN" OVER WITHDRAWAL & RELAYING OF  E-LEVY BILL

Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta has decided to discontinue the decision to withdraw and relay the Electronic Transaction Levy also known as E-Levy as contained in the 2022 Economic Policy and Budget Statement.

The decision by Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta, to withdraw and relay the E-Levy bill has been canceled to allow for the process to continue in Parliament.

This is according to Alex Kwamena Afenyo Markin, Deputy Majority Leader for the Finance Minister while reading the business of the day.

The Finance Committee of Parliament has, however, made changes to the bill presently before the house.


Afenyo Markin again hits that, the presentation of the State of the Nation Address (SONA) by the President shall be done on Thursday, March 3, 2022.
