STOP HARASSING MEDIA PERSONNEL: SUHIYINI TO GOVERNMENT

The Minority MP for Tamale North, Alhasan Suhiyini is worried about the high level of harassment and detention of media practitioners by the state actors.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament, The Former Radio Gold Journalist, prayed the First Deputy Speaker Joseph Osei Owusu to haul the National Media Commission to the House for answers.
Alhasan Sayibu Suhiyini thought that such a posture by Government was worrying and will not put the Media in its rightful role in the building of our Nation.
The First Deputy Speaker Joseph Osei Owusu though did not rule on the matter, the Deputy Majority Leader Alex Kwamena Afenyo Markin called on the media to be responsible in its reportage, especially with bloggers.
