According to a Facebook post from the Tunisian Olympic Committee, teen Eya Guezguez, who sailed for Tunisia in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, died in a training accident on Sunday.

Guezguez, 17, was laid to rest Monday in Ariana, Tunisia, following the Asr prayer, according to the Tunisian Olympic Committee.

Guezguez was sailing with her twin sister Sarra when their boat capsized owing to heavy winds, according to Olympics.com. Sarra, who raced in Tokyo alongside Eya, was unharmed in the collision.

According to the Tunisian Olympic Committee, the two were practicing with the Tunisian national squad in preparation for future regional and international competitions.

Eya and Sarra Guezguez placed 21st in the 49er FX event at the Tokyo Olympics last summer.
