The NDC's parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso-West Wuogon constituency, John Dumelo is calling for a halt of the voting exercise at the GIMPA polling Station 1 .

Dumelo's call for a halt in the exercise, is due to the absence of indelible ink.

The NDC candidate in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM said he was disappointed that the Electoral Commission officials were allowing the process to continue, since the absence of the ink makes it possible for someone to vote twice.

He said:

“I am disappointed in the process. We do not have indelible ink here, and they are allowing the process to still continue which is wrong, which is not right There should be indelible ink.”

“I suggest that they stop the whole process and let them get the ink before they continue. The indelible ink is the surest way to know that one has voted or not. Then people are coming to do over voting or what?” John Dumelo and the incumbent New Patriotic Party’ (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate, Lydia Alhassan are the frontrunners for the Parliamentary election.

The incumbent MP who run unopposed in her party primaries for the 2020 poll succeeded her husband, Emmanuel Boakye Agyarko, in 2018, after he lost his life.
