Egypt will look into the suicide of a journalist.

Egypt has initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding a journalist's suicide at the offices of the state-run daily Al-Ahram.

According to witnesses, Imad el-Feki hanged himself in his office.

In the wake of rumors that he was under a lot of stress at work, Egypt's journalists' organization has advised people not to speculate about what drove him to commit suicide.

Some have asked for the media to be changed, claiming that it has become even more under state control in recent years.
