The Assin North Education Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Mrs.. Juliet Dufie Otami has unearthed that above all the unbearable challenges, the Education Directorate has caused surprises at the National Level in the "Tears Of Joy" manner.
Mrs. Otami bemoaned how poor network and infrastructure deficits are affecting the Assin North Education System.

We have to thank that on him two teachers from a typical village were managed to place 10th position on the "National Teachers Prize Award" whiles Assin State College too has managed to appear in the Science and Maths Quiz three consecutively and vowed to lift the trophy this time around," she said.
Mrs. Otami said this when the Assin North Education Directorate of the Central Region Celebrated Education Week to review the performance and the challenges of the College.
The celebration was on the Theme: "The Status Of Education In Assin North: Making It Count The Role Of Stakeholders."
Once Education Week is an Annual Celebration of the National System of Education, Public Education, and the Achievements of our Schools, Students, and Education System,
For his party the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Assin North District Assembly, Mr. Charles Ohene Andoh advised parents, students, and journalists as well to be bold enough to investigate and report any teacher who will ever defile or harass his or her students in the Assin North District of the Central Region to the appropriate authority.
Mr. Ohene Andoh noted that the District has academically performed extremely well over the years since Assin North District was created.
He pointed out that the District Education Oversight Committee(DEOC) has instituted Teacher Awards and it will soon be inaugurated to boost the performance of the teachers in the Assin North District.
A retired Education Director, Mr. B.K Ofori also embraced the Free SHS Policy and said most of the Category 'A' and 'B' Senior High Schools are being selected by those same people who have been paying huge school fees at private schools on their wards from basic level.
He added that few people from the rural areas have been enjoying Category A and B schools which is very painful.
Mr. B.K Ofori says, "to enhance quality education and equity in the certificate, the government has to review the policy.
"Those who have been paying huge school fees at the basic level already should be paying School Fees when it comes to enjoying Public Category 'A' and 'B' School in Ghana," he suggested.
He added that this will bring the equilibrium in life between those in urban and rural areas."
