Dreadful accident renders police officers in critical condition

Three Police officers are in critical condition after a Jita school bus with registration number, GN 6920-13 ran into the Kwabenakwa Police Barrier within the Obuasi Municipality of the Ashanti region. According to the reports, the school bus which had dropped off students from neighboring communities ran into the Kwabenakwa police barrier and crushed the police officers. The driver of the Jita School bus was said to have lost control of the steering thereby running into the police officers. The unfortunate incident, reports indicate that the Jita School driver failed his brakes. The police on duty according to the report were checking a long vehicle that was fully loaded with canoes when the accident occurred. Three police officers were severely injured, one sustained a broken jaw and 2 others were unable to walk. The bus driver also sustained severe injuries. But the victims were rushed to the SDA Hospital at Obuasi for intensive care.
