Don't  Abolish End Of  Term Examinations - Parliament Select Committee
Honourable Peter Nortsu-Kotoe

The Minority Spokesperson on Parliament's Select Committee on Education, Honourable Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, has called on the government to reconsider the decision leading to the abolishment of end of term examinations in basic schools across the country.

According to the Akatsi North MP, terminal examinations offered some form of competition among students and also provided a platform for the assessment of both teachers and students.

He contended that the abolishment of it has led to creeping laziness among Ghanaian school children and thus called on the Ministry of Education and government to reconsider the decision.

Mr Nortsu-Kotoe made the call when he led his colleagues of the 1971 batch of the Ave-Dakpa middle school now Ave-Dakpa D/A basic school in the Akatsi North Constituency to make some donations on Monday ahead of his year group's Golden Jubilee Anniversary celebration which comes on August 14, 2021.
