CPP Guru Forms 'Say No To Galamsey Movement' to Curb Illegal Mining in the Country

A communications giant and a staunch member of the Conventions People's Party (CPP); Isaac Gyan aka Kantinka has called on all Ghanaians to rally behind Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo's led government to curb the ongoing galamsey activities in the country in order to protect the environment for the future generation.

Speaking to journalists in an interview at Techiman in the Bono East Region, Kantinka who doubles as the Deputy Bono East Region Secretary of  CPP said all political parties, Chiefs in mining areas should sign Memorandum of Understanding  ( MOU ) in their quest to curb the menace failure to do so should be voted against in any election.

The convener added that Chiefs in all mining areas should also sign an accord to halt the nefarious activities of all illegal mining in the country.

He further opined that the government should establish a Galamsey court to punish all mining culprits to serve as a deterrent to others .

He finally opened that the "Say No to Galamsey Movement" consists of Media Practitioners, Politicians, Chiefs, Civil Society Organisations who would assist the government in the fight against illegal mining to preserve the environment.
