As the vibrant Odwira festivities approached, the town of Obom experienced an air of anticipation and community togetherness.

On 15 September 2023, the people of the area, both young and old, assembled to clear, clean, and sanctify their community space, ensuring the town was at its finest for the imminent celebrations.
Amid this community drive, the figure of Mr. Ahmmed Agbenyadzi, who is aspiring for the position of assemblyman of the Otwetiri-Korkormu Electoral Area and also the Constituency Youth Organiser emerged.
His presence was not just symbolic but energetic and hands-on.
Post the environmental rejuvenation, Mr Ahmmed took to the platform, addressing the gathering.
He championed the essence of community-driven initiatives and emphasized, "As we cleanse our surroundings, we pave the way for new beginnings, aligning perfectly with the spirit of Odwira."
The day's activities, however, were not just restricted to the clean-up.
Following the event, a delegation led by Hon. Ahmmed moved towards Akaesu Kofi, the sacred traditional stream of Obom.
With the serene backdrop of the flowing waters, a bottle of schnapp and a token were presented to the traditional leaders, signifying respect and a request for blessings.
With the leaders leading the rituals, prayers ascended to the gods of the stream, seeking their divine intervention and blessings for Mr. Ahmmed Agbenyadzi in the upcoming assembly elections.
