Central Region:Man 32 Nearly Lynched for Stealing over 20 Goats at Mankessim

A 32-year-old man has been beaten mercilessly for stealing over twenty goats at Anokyi a suburb of Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.

Inform action revealed that the man was seen stealing the goat at around midnight at 1:00 AM.32-year-old Residents stripped him naked and tied him with a rope and tied him on the report city pole.

the report says Residents in the area in their sleep heard numerous goats crying uncontrollably hence went to the scene and only for them to see over 20 goats caged in a car whose registration number is GW-1961-13 a private car.

The Residents then called in their neighbors in the community and they all rushed to the scene and start beaten the Suspect.

The Residents beat the Suspect and he was neither lost his life.

They beat him with sticks, iron rods, stones, and other sharp weapons.

The report also revealed that the Suspect uses maize to steal the goats. 

The Residents said, this is not the first time such incidents have happened, they said, people use to steal their goats all the time mostly in the evening, and this time the Main Suspected has been arrested.

Meanwhile, the Assembly Member for Anokyi Electoral Area, Hounrabl e John Koomson said, he had a distress call that a thief has been arrested he proceeded to the scene and found the Suspect in the pool of blood.

He was then Jeju the Mankessim Jeju Divisional Police Command for investigation.

According to the Suspect they were three in number he and the other two-runway leaving him behind.
